Frikkie Potgieter has an MSc Pharm degree, and has operated his own laboratory (Sedek Agrikem), since 1985. He was also a consultant for Pharmaworx, Merck Generics as well as for the University of the North and COVAN.

He has also held positions with Rolab, where he was involved in the setting up of the company, designing and supervision of building a factory and laboratory, product and analytical method development, stability testing and registration of medicine. Noristan, where he was Head of the Department of Scientific information, regulatory and clinical trials. Caps – Harare, where he was Head of R&D, University of Zimbabwe and Potchefstroom University, where he was a lecturer specialising in comparative in vitro dissolution testing, formulation, stability testing of pharmaceutical and neutraceutical dosage forms and analytical method development and validation.
